The strengths
that can change the current geographic border and set up an independent
Kurdistan are asking us to wear today’s political clothes for ourselves and for
the whole of the country and the design of the new flag is part of this change.
When we saw
the collapse of the Soviet Union and Communism, all countries involved designed
a new flag including Russia. It is widely known that during the Second World
War, the Soviets supported Ghazi Mohammed in order to declare an autonomous
independent Kurdistan and he designed a flag for this occasion.
We believe
that this design is no longer appropriate and I have designed this new flag,
which is in total support of Western ideology.
The blue colour of the flag is similar to the western flag of the
European Union and the seven stars resemble the sign-star constellation – four
of these mean that Kurdistan is situated between four seas and the other three
mean variations of the Kurdish languages. We hope that the West will understand
our aims and recognise our flag.
